Elaia Blades (Basque Country)

From experimental cinema and counterculture, she develops a transdisciplinary artistic practice that encompasses video art, sound, and lenticular mixed media, the latter being a research into movement encapsulated in static images. Her influences, linked to ceremonial structures, mythology, and occultism, evolved toward themes such as conspiracy theories, post-internet culture, censorship, and iconoclasm. Through symbolic and archetypal references, especially mythological ones, she addresses contemporary social issues, questioning normative paradigms and proposing non-linear readings of identity, power, and the body. Her work has been exhibited in venues such as the Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center within the framework of the BMW Digital Art Award 2026, as well as in various galleries during events such as the Venice Biennale and Art Basel Miami, in addition to numerous international film festivals.
